Francie is here with a BLEP vs. MLEM tutorial. A blep is when the tongue is just hanging out at rest, stationary. Mlem is an action word for when the tongue is performing a licking motion - hence the name which is an onomatopoetic interpretation of the sound it makes.

Da es heute anderswo zur Sprache kam und ich hier, glaube ich, noch nie darauf hingewiesen habe: Heike Baller hat vor ein paar Jahren eine meiner Geschichten ganz wunderbar eingelesen, und auch wenn sie Wulfila auf einer anderen Silbe betont als ich, finde ich das Ergebnis nach wie vor großartig.

Habe ich ja auch gar nicht gesagt. Ich habe gesagt: Für Reform sieht es deutlich schlechter aus als in der Prognose nach Schließung der Wahllokale. Da stand Reform noch bei 13 Sitzen. Jetzt nur noch 4.

Dear People at bsky.app – when exactly can we expect the Buttons and generally the UI getting properly labelled for people with assisted usage (like - blind/visually impaired people or others who rely on audio)?
It is STILL not helpful having buttons labelled with "Button" instead of, say "send".

Besorgniserregend leider, dass Labour nicht viel machen kann, solange sie die Lüge vom "funktionierenden" Brexit mittragen. Politikverdrossenheit wird durch so was nur größer.

Je mehr Entschuldigungen (jet lag? Nach 2 Wochen?) und Schlafenszeitpläne ich lese, desto mehr gelange ich auch zu der Meinung: wenn der Kreislauf es nicht mehr hergibt, vor so einem wichtigen Termin einen großen Espresso zu trinken, ist man dem Job vielleicht wirklich nicht mehr gewachsen

The older I get, the less I find myself caring about the conduct of artists, also the sexual one, as long as it isn't actionable (and evidenced). Instead, I find it helpful to ask myself if that person's art would be the same without that thing I object to, or whether that thing is central to it.

Basic problem of politics for the last 30-50 years or so has been that no party has the guts to tackle some ugly truths about nationalism (doesn't work) or capitalism (only works for upper 10%). Also: lobbyism and corruption. (1/2)
