I want everyone to think about what Trump will do with explicit absolute immunity from prosecution and the full power of the presidency of the United States of America
those are the stakes in November, full stop
It's weirder than that. These are the stakes forever, unless there's some public commitment to pursue a Constitutional Amendment to define and limit Presidential power
Yeah, the stakes are clear, the match up is set, and the outcome is uncertain.
No one is coming to save us. There is no magical solution. We just need to do the hard work to beat this bastard again in November.
Trump has been obsessed with launching nuclear missiles since at least 1987. He's ghoulish and thoughtless enough to decide nuking Gaza is the quickest way to "clear", level, & rebuild it for real estate profits--he won't give a shit that the land's uninhabitable before he actually does it.
it's worse than that, if trump wins, he'll almost certainly have a republican senate and a republican house as well. all branches of the government will be his.
We should consider if Trump doesn't win the election thanks to the supreme court ruling he can be charged, arrested, and imprisoned for all his crimes he has done while he has not been President.
I WANT HIM TO LOSE SO HE CAN FINALLY FACE JUSTICE FOR HIS EVIL SHIT HE DID BEFORE & AFTER HIS PRESIDENCY
Biden is already in office right now! And the Supreme Court just gave him immunity from prosecution! There is absolutely NO reason he needs to wait until November to punish them for this.
the decision lays out - explicitly in the case of the DOJ and implicitly in case of the military - that a president can order the prosecution of or a military strike on anyone he doesn’t like and fire anyone who doesn’t comply until he finds someone who will
he may not be prosecuted for this
So wait, are you actually suggesting we spend some time thinking about what kind of government we want to live under, rather than bread and circuses? My god, man!
