Boeing is pleading guilty to a fraud that killed over 300 people. Their punishment is fines. At least one person made a decision to perpetuate this fraud, so why is nobody going to jail? If corporations have the same rights as people, they should face the same criminal liabilities as well.

These are hateful bills target and ostracize vulnerable kids. They also speak to the misogyny of their authors, who are certain that anyone assigned male at birth is inherently better at sport. Sport can be a fun part of normal childhood. It needn’t be a high stakes gambit for college admissions.

Pro tip for NYC fireworks: find the neighborhoods with the, how shall I say, unofficial? displays. They’ve been constant since dusk where I am. One particularly industrious neighbor got started with firecrackers at 10am!
