What do you think gives the Pro-Democracy side the best chance to win? I'm not sure which option is the best. I almost think that a new candidate breathes more energy into the campaign, but then I think that's crazy b/c it seems so late. I'm fine with Biden but I'd also be fine with someone else.

I get why Democrats are thinking they want a different candidate. Biden looked old and struggled, but I can tell myself he had an off night and still made a point or 2. Meanwhile, Republicans are doing nothing about a raving, delusional, lying insurrectionist who is living in a different reality.

Let's face it besides being a pathological liar, a convicted felon, a con artist, a fraud, and a serial sexual predator, he's also just flat out creepy. I'd think a decent person would feel like they needed a shower after just being in the same room as trump.

Live in rural America, and between the lack of decent healthcare, the toxic religious culture, over abundance of white trash, alcoholism, drugs, rampant mental health issues, and the whole undertow of MAGA, I really question why anyone would want to live in rural America. My job demands I live here.

So true. The mayor where I live, a very red MAGA town, is doing everything right in getting people to move here. If successful, everyone will hate him because he brought the wrong kind of people in. To be fair, it is impossible to make MAGA happy so they would have hated him for something else.

Aside from Wordle and the Athletic, I try to avoid the New York Times. They try too hard to 'both sides' thing so they don't appear bias, but they never realize that there really is only one side to the facts.

You could blast Biden about tariffs, but Captain TradeWar is your candidate and Biden is better at than he was. Yeah immigration is a problem, but Biden is deporting more than trump ever did and he's not tearing apart families. Sure Biden has lost a step, but trump looks like an Altzhemiers patient

Local newspaper ran this. Republicans, like the author, are reasonable to say Biden has declined. That's fine. But what about Trump’s decline?! Throw that stone, but you got a freaking boulder coming back at you. If Biden's decline is your best argument, and it may be, you have nothing.

If I ran a pro-Biden SuperPAC I would target Republican leaning demographics on social media and radio and give them raw unfiltered Trump. No political commentary, just boats, batteries, sharks and Trump.

Raising taxes on wealthier Americans would have helped slow down inflation. That was what Biden wanted to do but he couldn't get it through congress. Maybe the problem is congress and not Biden.

But thinking about it, here's a guy being tried in multiple cases, has a history of fraud, is surrounded by criminals, violates gag orders, and threatens everyone. I think there's a damn good argument in that context to give him the max sentence he can get.Throw his ass in jail and be done with him.
