I have heard a lot of smart folks each name a different new Democratic presidential ticket, with no overlaps, which gives an idea of what such a convention would look like.
Kamala/Biden.
Kamala's better at drafting and pushing through hard policies, Biden's more of a statesman. AND the GOP could live in terror that he's coming back for term 3.
I was a nerdy 10-year-old when the 1960 Dem convention happened & those were the horse-trading days, my friend. Now? No one alive knows how it's done first hand. So it wouldn't just START that way!

I find it odd that the polling hasn't extended to options like Wes Moore. he'd retain the support of Black voters and bring in younger ones, which no one mooted thus far could do.
I thought he’d step aside in Jan, having given enough cover to both vet a nominee and get consensus (electability.) Both very difficult at this juncture, so I think we just go with the amphetamines and cross fingers.
I've seen people float Harris but VPs are selected by the nominee, not a very democratic process. Seems like you'd want to go back to whoever got the 2nd most delegates in the 2020 primary...
