I think most of the challenge is that Arbor Day Foundation is so huge, with such large donations and with programs for planting so many trees, as well as I think regranting funds for planting, that the separate reporting for the Team Trees stream of money might've been a little difficult.

In general, offset schemes are highly suspicious. But I can tell you from personal knowledge that all the MrBeast tree planting money went directly to the Arbor Day Fdn:
teamtrees.org

Still, planting new trees has to be augmented by a strategy of protecting existing forests from deforestation

So many folks are sick again so I share this with love: you must rest. Rest won’t guarantee you don’t get long covid but it’s a huge mitigator. Even if you have an accute mild case. Even if you don’t feel it at all. Send this to your boss. Make your partner clean or use disposable dishes etc.

But consider also that enthusiastic volunteers need paid, experienced staff to support and coordinate their efforts. And politically passionate people need a roof over their heads while doing their advocacy. People doing full time political organizing deserve better than living in poverty.
