Why wouldn't they? They understand that flawed Biden is far, far preferable to Project 2025 and Trumpian fascism. Leftist goals depend on there being a relatively free and fair election in 2028, which very well might not happen if Trump wins.

This is all the article says about Trump's actual actions: "Many felonies — like Mr. Trump’s and Hunter Biden’s as well — amount to lying on official paperwork." So entirely avoiding the intent to violate election law and getting in a "both-sides-do-it" at the same time. The NYT remains trash.
