I can't believe we, as a species, invented bread and cheese - two things that require multiple, complicated steps as well as microbe husbandry - and this is the best political system we've got

The word "interesting" when used to describe the profile of a renegade poop merchant (poop-monger? Purveyor of poop and poop accessories? I'm not sure what the correct job title is) carries some seriously threatening vibes.

They could work on their relationships, or go to therapy, they could *shudder* talk to each other about their feelings and discuss what each of them wants out of the relationship, sure yeah...
or we could build an entire industry that could use tech to solve these problems with the power of AI.

Wish there was an edit: I meant premium purchases, like "buy this one thing and you can stream it forever" not the subscription to a library.
I know they pull stuff from their streaming services all the time.

I know they removed some things from the buffet style service, but is it even possible to purchase premium content beyond what is offered by the subscription?
Delisting old stuff is it's own ball of garbage, but I was referring to having access to specific, purchased titles revoked.

Can't wait until they grow bold enough to remove titles from streaming services that people have actually paid for. Sort of like that Sony/Discovery spat last year but without the "lol, sorry, here you can have them back" waffling

Another nice thing...
The encounter balance mechanics in PF2 actually work pretty damn well compared to 5e's "lol CR is largely meaningless above level 5" So it is actually pretty easy to adapt a D&D module to PF2 if you would prefer to use the other setting.

I also love that in PF you are making new choices every level from 1 to 20 as opposed to being 90% finished with most builds in 5e by 3rd level.
The 3 action economy and how much hand waving and bullshit it resolves is also in my top 5 favorite bits of the game.

Yeah, this.
I dipped into PF2 originally because I wanted to give it a chance between 5e campaigns, and I'm not planning on going back. 6e or whatever looks like a step up from 5e, but PF already fixed all of my main gripes with 5e and 6 just feels like a step backward now.

I like 3.x a lot less in retrospect than I did at the time. Like the new stuff was cool, and that alone made it great until you started finding all the shit that was just broken and bad.
But to pretend it wasn't a huge deal at the time? D20 versions of everything were everywhere.

None of their arguments can hold up to even the lightest, most simple criticism without collapsing, so they play tone police and whine about manners, because pretending to be hurt is the only rebuttal they can come up with.
Like a toddler getting told "no" their response is tears. Their only move.

If they could some how harness the raw power of the shame this show has brought upon everyone involved in its production, and use it to produce electricity, they could power an AI smart enough to explain to them in words small enough to understand, why they are all terrible and terminally unfunny.

Couldn't stand the main protagonist. The whole book felt very "look at how cool this guy is" to me, like I was reading somebody's Dungeons and Dragon's character's backstory.
I only read "Hounded," and maybe I should have given the series more time, but I had no interest going further in.

Interstate 76 had a radio station that played during installation. It started off with a news program that helped set the tone of the world, but also had a few bits that foreshadowed some later story events. When the news portion ran out on longer install, it switched to music.

I wasn't trying to disagree, or "well actually" anything, though in retrospect, it does come off as such, for that I apologize.

I made it about 3/4 through the 1st. If felt like an okish successor to Baldurs Gate, but I was never that fond of the world building or the story, and my ambivalence to that eventually overpowered the fun I was having with the game systems.

Was going to finally play through Dragon Age Inquisition, but I'm having a hell of a time getting into it.
For being so combat focused, the fighting just feels so mushy and inprecise. I recall a lot of people really digging this game, but I'm at a loss for what I am failing to see here.

Our "rural relatives" excise anyone that moves out of their immediate region, and anyone that doesn't have the same last name. So it's all the sons and their families, the daughters are more or less memory holed and maybe they get the occasional Xmas card.

I ended up on the Switch remake of Link's Awakening. I've gone through the GB version many times, but not in several years. I've had the switch version laying around for awhile but never finished it.
Not having to menu as much is very nice, but the framerate is pretty inconsistent.

Lol. This is a writer that never gets invited over anywhere and can never get others to visit their home either because they have little concept of boundaries and believe "RESPECT" means "kiss my ass constantly but don't expect anything in return"
