The Furnace Golems in Elden Ring don't like cold. I was hitting one with Adula's Moonblade, and when the cold status built up to do burst damage it makes the golem flinch. But then the golem burns the cold status away, meaning you can build it right back up for another flinch immediately.

No that's definitely a sentiment I hear from a lot of people. Elden Ring is my favorite one and I totally agree with you. The more linear games with little diverging paths feels the most rewarding to explore.

Try all kinds of things, and when you find a play style you like lean into it. Everything is viable. Get your Vit to at least 40, your mind should be high enough to summon your favorite spirit, end art 15 minimum. All other stats only need to be as high as you need to use the stuff you want.

I managed to convert most of my home rewards D&D stuff into Pathfinder 2e. Paizo is doing a good job making their game feel distinct without a TOTAL departure from D&D. Though, that's just my experience.
