I imagine the backrooms are full, smoke filled rooms are leaking smoke, horse traders trading up a storm right now to try to get something going out of that decision.... Should be a pretty sparky few weeks in IL politics...

Might it? My (extremely) naive estimation would be that the Israeli far right wingnuts who are on the pointy end of this have a tiger riding problem; how do they eject without giving up any hope of being part of a majority government any time in the next two decades?

Yup. This is absolutely earth shattering and will reverberate in unforeseen ways. But I live in Brooklyn and interact with Satmars every day. I really think most people have no idea how influential and divisive that community is among Jewry.

You know my non-understanding of these things, but from my limited knowledge and inference, that sounds like a good thing since nobody with a shred of human decency want to keep that man on the rein of power in Israel. Or am I assuming too much?
