I don’t think it’s an exaggeration at all to say the decision threatens the Republic. I might not have said so in 2015, before I saw how triumphantly lawless and autocratic the President could be, and how so many people would applaud it or at least shrug.

As an old (sixty-six) man living in central Minnesota, I will note that "hon'" is typically used by young women clerks who appear to believe that one of my feet is already dangling above the open grave. I have been hon'ed by women no more than twenty years old.

True. But I don't think that you can trace the Constitution's accommodation of slavery in any direct way to the Bible. Westerners long used the Bible to justify slavery. But slavery was incredibly widespread among Western (and other) cultures.

I can think of one application: Some people just have a hard time putting (digital) ink on the page. Prompting an AI/LLM might help them start putting something together. And it might be able to generate a skeleton on which actually reasoned sentences can be arranged. That's about it, I think.

At my old firm, we had a new associate with an LLM in tax. He was pretty cocky about his skills. May also have been a CPA. Sent a memo to a client without running it past the assigning partner. Partner heard about it from the client. The associate got frog-marched out the door.
