So make sure all your #author/#writer/#artist/#screenwriter/#actor friends know: #Trump’s #Project2025 could make any depiction of #LGBTQ people into “pornography” and send them to prison (camps).

Today #Trump is suddenly saying that he isn’t aware of his own party’s plans. Maybe that’s because people are discovering them. Maybe it’s just #cognitivedecline. But all the people he’ll put in place are well aware.

But once they’ve normalized disappearing your neighbor who overstayed their visa, and your #trans neighbor, it will be very easy to do so to all of us who create art acknowledging #LGBTQ folx exist.

And yes, there are even worse things in #Project2025. Rounding up 11 million people who are working their way through our labyrinthine immigration system and tossing them in deportation camps (concentration camps) will lead to more suffering and death than we can comprehend.

If you’re saying, “But the First Amendment!” #Project2025 argues 1st Amendment protections don’t apply to “woke gender ideology” because they think acknowledging the existence of queer people is like yelling fire in a crowded theater.

And if your book with a queer character isn’t published yet? Why would a publishing company take the risk? And if they discriminate against books with queer characters, #Project2025 encourages the DoJ to SUPPORT bigots who discriminate against #LGBTQIA+ folx.

And books in schools? #Project2025 says education texts related to race, gender, and LGBTQ identities are “noxious tenets,” and “Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex offenders.” So my novels could get a librarian or teacher in trouble.

ALL of my novels have queer characters. Regardless of whether there are sex scenes, a Trump appointee could say I'm pushing what #Project2025 calls "the bullying LGBTQ+ agenda,” and decide to label my books pornography, then have me criminally prosecuted.

#WritingCommunity, be aware of this: #Trump and the @GOP's #Project2025 plan opposes what it calls “toxic normalization of transgenderism” and ‘new woke gender ideology.' It also says all pornography should be criminalized. Put those together.
