I’m always promoting Perfect Prophet but I haven’t found what works when promoting books 2 & 3. I think they’re stronger stories but you need book 1 for the groundwork. In other news, I found book 1 on a pirated website. I’m torn if this is bad news or if it means I’ve made it. 🤔

Relevant to the social commentary in Insomniac Cafe, I learned about the social model of disability. To oversimplify: the idea is that disabilities are mostly disabling *because* our society will not accommodate our various needs. It's a thought-provoking google.

I remember when Emily was talking about what she called the hunting cats, living in 1940s London, and her words were simple but strong. She linked it all up in her head, and while her process was different to ours, it made sense. And it was poignant. I cried a lot writing Emily.

A4 — This is a hard question. But many of my characters deal w/a different disability: PTSD. I guess I learned that so many behaviors that we might disapprove of or judge can stem from PTSD, and I hope knowing it makes me more empathetic. #HorrorWritersChat

A3–My fave scene is when Ally meets Alec in Prophet Reborn. Alec’s son is missing, & Alec feels the blame. He’s full of anxiety when he has a run-in w/this disabled girl at a coffee shop. She doesn’t know he’s famous (a controversial faith healer), & it’s her who gives him hope. #HorrorWritersChat

I got blocked today 😃. I joined a civil thread about JK Rowling after a reader/blogger announced a Galbraith title as their next TBR. Later, I thought it might be nice to suggest not to troll the reader over something they might not have known, then found I was blocked. Oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️
