Yesterday was this angelic boy's 7th adoption anniversary! In 2017 this gentle giant strolled into the group cat room at the shelter where we were looking to adopt. My boyfriend scooped him up and Fergus instantly relaxed in his arms. He been our kind, quiet teddy bear man ever since. ❤️
This smart boy started purring up a storm as soon as I held him at the shelter.
Rufus still purrs prolifically, but holding of any kind of off the menu!
He was returned to the shelter twice before we got him, even though he has no behavioral issues of any kind. He's sweet and calm, great at the vet, and so loving with Francie. Like most shelter animals he was there because of human circumstances, not because he had done anything wrong.
OMG, what a beauty - & what a marvellous meeting! I still treasure the moment our ex-feral adoptee crept out of hiding at 2 am on his 1st night & flung himself at me, desperate for love & caresses (his 1st human friend having sadly died c 10 weeks previously). We never looked back. 😍
Looks (and acts) so much like my Jelly. We were in the National Cat Protection Society shelter in San Diego and he jumped up on a box, grabbed my arm and started licking me. We were "just looking" but came home with him. ❤️
Every time I see Fergus I'm reminded of this girl back in the day. Unlike Fergus, she has a stripe of brown cleaving the top of her head. She was quite large. Biggest cat I've had. Very smart. So many chrips.
What a sweet face! Love a gentle giant.
Howl came to me because a friend's student was living in a situation where she couldn't keep him. Yes, he's named for the film, but my friends and I decided he's actually the Moving Castle. I love him to bits.
