Right - like prior to the debate all the pundits were trying to tell us how unimportant debates are, they never move the needle, there are hardly any undecideds anyway ….

This quiz pinned me to three cities I have never even visited.
Guess it doesn’t work for someone who was raised in Canada 🤷♀️

When we think of July 4th we think of fireworks. Most people don’t think about how those fireworks affect animals.
Reach out to neighbors ahead of the 4th and have a conversation about the fireworks they’ll be setting off and just how frightening the fireworks are to animals.

If we’re talking political psychology, I think the psychology of the populace is more interesting and important than the psychology of pundits.

Not just commentators. Remember, US presidential politics is a spectator sport the world over (my Canadian & Dutch relatives have been texting me nonstop since the debate).
Too many folks want the frisson that comes with this particular game of what-if

Biden's age is just a stand-in for whatever criticism would be lobbed against another Dem. Making them younger would only shift the issue. I was just thinking earlier today how Dems ran a veteran in 2004 while war was the main issue, and the GOP successfully smeared him *for winning war medals*.

The country of the Alitos' and the Heritage Foundation's dreams is an imaginary past idyll that never existed, and they're convinced that they have to destroy much of what currently exists in order to return to that imaginary place. Calling that "conservative" does violence to the English language.

Who's excited to get on an airplane now that the FAA can't regulate them for safety and Boeing, Airbus, and the airlines can legally bribe politicians?

We already live in a media environment in which 49% of Americans think unemployment is at a 50-year high and more than half believe the economy is shrinking and that we're in a recession. Now imagine a world in which there's no reliable data to contest that? www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
