You know how sometimes in war there’s the one side who has rules and thinks they know how war is fought but then they’re shocked, SHOCKED, when the other side runs out of the bushes and like, stabs their horses and shit? And that side wins? Yeah I think about that phenomenon a lot these days.
especially when the horse stabbers are KNOWN for horse stabbing, they've even put up flyers all around the village boasting about how they have never missed a chance to stab a horse. and then the horse-riding side shakes their heads sadly about this before riding out to a picnic on their horses
"What? Take cover? Like cowards? No, no, no just stand here and hold the--Jenkins! Is that dirt on your uniform coat? That'll be two demerits, soldier!"
"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is."
this is SUCH an old trope. The Neo Egyptian Empire lost a battle to the Hittites basically because the Hittites pulled an analogous stunt on breaking the "rules of war", and it worked.
Maybe we should start a fundraiser to mail copies of The Art of War to the D congressfolk and leadership. I didn't used to think they needed a good primer but maybe they need a good primer.
If we raise enough money I will go and deliver them to offices personally.
Someone who knows some Hollywood director types should encourage them to make a short film about what a second Trump term would look like, given this immunity ruling & Project 2025. For people who don’t read or listen to the news. Maybe they’ll watch what’s coming & vote against it
I find myself thinking of this Clone Wars quote from Saw Gerrera:
“I hope, Senator, after you've lost, and the Empire reigns over the galaxy unopposed, you will find some comfort in the knowledge that you fought according to the rules.”
Biden should immediately issue an executive order raising the number of Supreme Court justices to 13 and name who the 4 additions are. Of course it's unconstitutional, but do it anyway.
Democrats need to listen to Jim Malone and use The Chicago Way: "He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue!"
But Dems want to lose it all by believing fairytale horseshit like, "When they go low, we go high!"
