The Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility--the point farthest from any land mass, is Point Nemo, 1,670 miles away from Pandora Islet, Moto Nui, & Maher Island off Antarctica. It's so remote that often the closest humans are those in the International Space Station when it passes overhead 250 miles up.

Radical idea? Make cycling a viable option for people who -aren’t gearheads -don’t care about the “joy of riding” -aren’t aiming to set personal time trial records -prefer street clothes that are neither skintight nor the color of traffic cones -are conflict-averse -also like to drive

I do not see very many commercials but it seems like the prevailing aesthetic is too be obnoxiously odd to try and get in people's heads (aka quirky but likable). I wonder what advertising people from different decades would think about 2024 ads.

KC has 11,500 more seats than the next largest purpose-built women’s soccer stadium with first rights to schedule in the NWSL, so that is plenty big.

Yeah and when this was announced it was three weeks after the reporting on abuse in the league. Not necessarily at an obvious point to overbuild. People crapping on the size need to stop looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Saw only small cars in recent rip to Europe. Roads and parking built for small cars to thrive. Big trucks and suvs can’t fit. Many cars were so small they were actually bikes not cars. And everyone looked a lot healthier. We can change but we have to make the choice.
