I struggle to remain optimistic. But Democrats are Democrats. They break apart as if by instinct. If they stick with Biden, the party will shatter. If they swing to Harris, the party will shatter. If they choose X, Y, or Z alternatives to those, the party will shatter.

I got a pretty bad feeling this doesn't stop with President Biden. If he were to drop out, I feel like we'd see a deluge of media criticism for Vice President Harris or Gov. Whitmer or Gov. Newsom or Sec. Buttigieg or any other Democrat while Trump gets a pass. Call it a hunch.

I had this same thought recently. With seemingly all the talent in the world to choose from, how is NYC and the state of New York headed by such weak and pathetic leadership. The fail is so pronounced I can casually see their lousiness from 3,000 miles away.

I hope someone is tracking all the companies that are putting out Pride messages this month and matching it up against: A) which politicians they donate to that want to roll back LGBTQ rights B) their corporate behaviors against the LGBTQ community C) whether they pulled their DEI initiatives

My hot take is that Bluesky is actually an incredible, roaring success, most of the criticisms levied at it are histrionic exaggerations, and that the moderation model in particular is a unique example in recent times of having recaptured the efficiency (and fairness!) of an early 2000s forum.

I was a teenager when they launched, and am no expert, but I am in disbelief that I continue to read articles about them still working outside the solar system. That in itself should provide science huge information.
