There were times when I’d be visiting my wife & girls at camp at the end of 1st session / parents’ weekend for the full summer kids, & it was striking how many parents (esp the moms) couldn’t quite believe that their daughters were able to be in a community without them - but it’s kind of the point

The first summer that my kids were away at camp was 2009 - they were 6 and 4 (my wife was working there, this wasn’t an English boarding school move). Here’s the bad news: you will miss her. Here’s the good news: if all goes well, she’s going to have an amazing time & get so much out of it

I ended up in the 2nd row from the stage at a concert last week mostly b/c I got mad at guys who moved right in front of me during the opener & then had a lovely chat, so I got a better view mostly from being a grumpy old man. (Also 2 shows in 2 nights & the dogs were *barking* afterwards lol)

So, apart from the three Reform MPs you've heard of, the fourth is Rupert Lowe, a multi-millionaire farmer who used to own Southampton FC. Combined with Tice, that may well mean Reform has a higher average per-MP wealth than the Tories. Their supposed "revolt" is of the haves against the have-nots.

I don’t think that’s it. I think they underestimated how many votes they were going to lose to Reform, which opened a lot of doors to Labour & the Lib Dems, plus tactical voting, plus Labour cleaning up in Scotland (timing was a gift to Labour in that regard)
