Apropos of your point: Obama for America had a field office in every county in North Carolina. Clinton's campaign had just a few in Charlotte and Raleigh. I think the second approach was a pretty serious strategic mistake.

- bottom line up front slide - declarative slide titles - less text, bigger fonts - no, even bigger, seriously - accessible for all - don’t ever say I know you can’t read this but - never ever go over time - tell a story, start wide, narrow in, end wide - use the mic every time - end with takeaways

Strong agree in general -- the format is always just kind of the wrong length somehow. But I made an exception for this one when my kids were little.

Also, I like "A is for Activist." And, of course, pretty much any Marvel Comic is fundamentally about power and responsibility, so you can't start them on that stuff too young :)

Once again, it is cheaper to decarbonize our world now than to pay for the costs of climate damage in the future. “Climate damages by 2050 will be 6 times the cost of limiting warming to 2°.” [arstechnica.com]

SCOTUS will invalidate this because: 1) Residents of states are immune from federal laws 2) Burning gasoline is a form of speech 3) Preventing people who don't believe dinosaurs existed from burning dead dinosaurs violates their religious freedom 4) Something patchwork something

Genuine Qs: My sense is that a lot of the attacks are in bad faith, so I wonder a) how much room there actually is to focus _more_ on core mission, b) whether that would matter anyway if this is all badfaith, and c) why isn't some/most/all of the answer just "respond forcefully to badfaith attacks"?

This image is fake, but you know what’s not? Of Americans that are invested in a 401(k) plan, 99% are forced to invest in oil and gas companies. I’m joining a virtual march against Wall Street to give everyone climate-friendly options. You can march too at RetireBigOil.org

Although reviews are confidential, all comments should be courteous and capable of withstanding public scrutiny. Reread comments aloud to assess tone and consider whether you would appreciate the review and find it constructive. (See also Nature's “How to write a thorough peer review.”)

Suggestions that are beyond the scope of the current work and should be considered for future research should be explicitly stated as such. Reviewers should respect the intellectual independence of authors and avoid personal remarks in the review. (5/n)

The purpose of peer review is not to demonstrate the reviewer’s proficiency in identifying flaws; negative critiques are not obligated. Reviewers should identify strengths and provide constructive comments to help authors resolve weaknesses in the work. (4/n)

I've read some pundits say "there's no point thinking about what the 14th Amendment says because the SCOTUS will never rule against Trump." That's probably true as a prediction. But letting that stop your thinking really is giving up on constitutional government.
