The thing about Chris Finlayson is even when you disagree with him - I do pretty frequently - he's just obviously a person of basic decency and extreme competence. And absolutely no time for bullshit. And he's simply right; the anti Maori folks are just weirdos and ACT in govt is empowering them.

A lovely healing day in Wellington yesterday. Got to see an Eagle Ray, and pod of dolphins in the harbour as well as buskers and many people on the waterfront. Helped overcome #fomo from writers week and the arts festival π€©

Iβm in the same boat just now so lots of smoothies (can put nuts, protein powders, peanut butter and spinach etc in) and soups on the cooler days. Also banana bread or gingerbread maybe if she can manage those.

Health update: I had a lovely break from #cancertreatment over Christmas/summer swimming and eating well, spending time with family and friends, v lucky π₯°but unfortunately the latest scan shows the cancer is back and growing. #oesophagealcancer
