If the physical weight in kilos is the reason preventing the government reading the report of the suffering of those in state care, or at least be so relevant as to raise the weight in the context of not having read it, maybe they could read a fucking pdf version or something.

It is broke for me, I am trying to remember the underlying address that poops.nz is a redirection to before I write to them (and it is the weekend).

Another dynamic worth noting is Labour has never won a majority without turnout dropping. In 1945, 1964, October 1974, 1997 and 2024 turnout was lower than in the previous defeat. And in 1964 and 2024 they got fewer votes. I do think there’s a type of British “Tory or nothing” voter…

This is marvelous. Class action alleges Walmart systematically puts one price on the shelf, and charges a little more at the cash register. Walmart claims consumers can see the prices actually charged, so no harm. CA7 rejects.

FWIW last week was the 21st lowest covid wastewater level in the last 52 weeks, so the overall covid risk was slightly below average nationwide (mainly still very high in Levin, Paraparaumu, & Nelson).

The most important thing in this weeks covid data is there was not the same adding of backlog covid cases this week as last week (there were a few added for the couple of days prior to last weeks reporting). So reported cases, FWIW which is not much, back down to early May levels.

The 16th Report of the Perinatal and Maternal Mortality Review Committee (PMMRC) was released today, covering 2006-2021. So the first to have coverage of pregnancies with covid (though in 2021 infections were still limited. And like all the overseas evidence, locally infection in pregnancy is bad.

Both the link and card work for me on the laptop with web browser. It did not work for me with the iPhone app until I actually upgraded to the version that supports starter packs (just thought I should spell that out) when I got a "open in Bluesy?" dialog and everything worked.
