My spouse and I are having our friends and their 1-year-old over on Saturday, and we're not going overboard, but turns out we're planning on babyproofing more than this grandmother (putting all medicine out of reach, cleaning a ton, putting LEGO bouquets somewhere else entirely, etc.

I don't want to have to avoid anywhere else! I also wonder if mask bans will affect the economy, because people like me won't be out wandering in places like Ulta or wherever, and if companies will figure it out. Wawa lost out to our local Italian carry-out during @rujasu.net's recent marathons.

Before this, I already had to stop going to Wawa because they didn't want you to wear a mask inside the store (presumably because of security concerns, but I'm sure Wawa was getting held up or whatever pre-covid and I don't think potential robbers are going to pay attention to attire rules).

not so fun fact: a lot of people with autoimmune diseases (not just the one I have) can have heat related flare ups or complications, which means climate change is going to fuck a lot of us up in cool ways that a lot of people haven’t really even thought about!
