Nothing can be as bad as my inlaw's big, all-cousins +their kids, 5 generation family xmas where a cousin spaced out while flipping thru their uncle's unlocked satellite dish & stopped to chat while unknowingly playing straight up porn for the whole family. There was moaning & then SO MUCH YELLING.

You always have a couple guys who compete to spend the most on fireworks so the town gets quite a show, safely away from the unharvested, dry wheat fields. Our last 4th there, one guy spent $1200 on fireworks & we only spent <$10 on ground flowers & sparklers.

I don't miss a lot about the town we are from, but they do the 4th so nice. Families bring their fireworks to the high school, volunteer fire dept brings a water truck, everybody sets their fireworks off on the football field. People hang out in the park, watch fireworks & visit. Wrapped by 10:30.

Might happen! The way it usually works is that if I'm prepared for the weather to be bad, it's fine, if I'm not prepared, it's apocalyptic. For years after I finally caved & bought $$$ snow boots, we never got more than 6 inches.

I can't decide if I have the energy to ask to start giving him treats when I come out? It stresses me out so bad I can tell I'm so far into frazzled/pissed that I need to not talk to these people, so I just go inside. Like if I have to raise my voice over the dog, I might start like yelling yelling

They know it's a problem & have a shock collar for him, but only zap him when they're outside. I do not think I can be civil talking to them with that dog going crazy between us because my BP skyrockets being snapped at. I'm not really sure wtf to do but I can't use my backyard anymore when it's out

My shitty neighbors (if you've followed me since Twitter, the ones we heard tell a 5yo he was going to beat him with a wrench) have a very large pitbull who rushes to our short fence, aggressively barking & snarling every time I'm in the yard, which I'm avoiding now because I can't handle the dog.

Finally just sent in my complaint. ALSO, the chickens we got from Tractor Supply, one of their "breeds," were the weirdest, shortest lived chickens we've ever had. Not 1 hen looked the same as their sisters & 3/4ths didn't even live 18 months. Garbage breeding.

NP! I was terrified they'd somehow tear the glass out, but we've bought a set for my mom & another for my daughter now & no problemmos! *knocks on wood* I think 1 set was missing a screw or something that my husband replaced easily, but that's how manufacturing goes, I suppose.

We've been using this set amzn.to/4cCVZuk for 18 months now & it's held up well. There's a fuzzy "winter" bed & an aerated "summer" bed, & it folds so we can close the curtain. Our BIG cat loved it til the wild kittens took over. Their beds are right below it but they can see more birds up there.

I am just so sorry. This shit feels like one last dig & complicates grief. Be really extra be kind to yourself about this. My dad was a good, not perfect, but good dad until close to the end & this is such a shitty mystery as his legacy. It's been 5 years & it still hurts me, BUT I know in my heart

I mentioned when you lost your brother, that I was so sorry, because I know losing a brother is so hard. But I also lost my dad due to my brother's death AND also found out I'd been purposefully cut out of Dad's will. Like named as the sole living heir, but was not to receive anything. No clue why.
