I think people in general need to understand that consent is "Yes! I want to do this with you!" -- and that consent is NOT "OK, fine" after however much haranguing, whining, badgering, and pleading. Just because you can wear somebody down doesn't mean that what you're doing is actually consensual.

Regarding Neil Gaiman, I'm seeing a lot of people feed into rape culture by expressing disbelief of the accusers for various reasons. I believe people who say they were sexually assaulted and I'll start with that because I think the vast majority of experiences are true.

Neil Gaiman's claim that one of the alleged victims "was suffering from a condition associated with false memories" is gaslighting at its worst. He is weaponizing mental health to avoid accountability while also exacerbating the trauma that HE ORIGINALLY INFLICTED. It is so nefarious and insidious.

Looking at grammar and writing assistance apps. Wow, there's a lot of options and their ToS and Privacy Policies are wildly different. Language Tool is my favorite so far, and it's based in Germany. German software for the win this is my second, favorite German based software company!

For me, part of finding that wisdom and maturity within myself is moving past the angst of guiding and allowing others to grow on their on timeline. Sometimes I really hate it though. Leading community is the most challenging part of life, even moreso than being trans or functionally poly.

I see a black or brown homeless woman, often with children, who asks me for help almost every time I leave the house now. I look them in the eyes and say hello. No I won't help you. I give cash to women sometimes, almost never to men though. I'm really torn about this. Am I being shitty?
