YES, THIS. I was at a soccer game on Tuesday, Canadian legend Christine Sinclair’s last international game/retirement, and the stadium was PACKED with girls/teens/young women (attendance more than 48k) and it was a VIBE being in the room while they celebrated their idol. 1/2

Yes!! My girls are sassy handfuls, but omg, I love it so much. All the awkwardness along with that enthusiasm keeps life hilarious. They are so much cooler than I ever was or will be.
I 100% believe if you analyze teengirl enthusiasm any given year -- not as "what are those silly little girls doing now???" condescension, but as a legitimate look into their participant-consumption trends, you could predict the shape of the next 10+ of median culture and technology
