I’m not saying this is happening but I’m saying it’s what I’d do since I’m an SOB. -Any pledged delegate who decides to deny Biden the choice of his replacement gets frozen out. Need that bridge? Community center? Pound sand. I’m here until 1/25. -Whitmer/Shapiro. Kamala gets any post she chooses.

I know the best path: Make Kamala the first woman President of the United States. Now. Joe can do that with the best speech of his career and then ride into the sunset. Make a big show of it. Pomp and circumstance. Then Kamala picks Whitmer as VP and they run as incumbents.

Part of why trying to replace him at all is the worst path is that it leaves who he gets replaced with up to the 4,700 delegates at the convention all acting as free agents who can vote for anyone who submits their name to the convention chair in writing.

I’m outside the US and frankly the whole primary system is pretty absurd. Like the party spends a full year fighting publicly and doing the other side’s oppo research for them? And then you expect everyone to get behind the winner and fight the other side?
