one of the problems with modern politics reporting is that it should not be on me, shitposter, to have to explain presidential campaign fundamentals to the general public, this is literally the job of politics reporters and they are virtually all failures at it
I never thought I'd miss the stiff collar political reporting from when I was a kid, but the last 20, 25 years of it turning into a form of sportscasting has been one of the worst media developments in my lifetime of terrible media developments.
I have a pretty solid group of politically aware people on Facebook and once I asked them (to make this point)if anybody knew how you ran for State Senate.
Nobody.
I am also increasingly convinced that On Here (though not in the media at large) some of this freakout is the result of people who haven't paid close attention to politics for very long. I don't know how you draw this much of a conclusion from a single debate in June ESPECIALLY with these candidates
Honestly, if you fired every op-ed writer and replaced them all with well-informed Bluesky shitposters, it would dramatically and immediately improve this country.
if you don’t know who TPUSA are or how GOTV ops work or that state parties are going broke or that the RNC ran out their last experienced election lawyer or how ad spending works, that’s all fine, but you should at the least be a little less confident about BIDEN LOSE predictions
And yet Trump told his endless lies during the debate with loud confidence & CNN apparently think that's cool....Will whoever is working on the next evil clown movie switch it to an evil "news" TV network please? Thanks.
