Ah yeah, the universal vaccine thing. I've been waiting for it for quite a few months. Maybe a year? I want it, and I especially want studies on it that use animals more similar to humans, such as lemurs. Because if they're not moving on from mice, then there's still a lot of work to be done.

GIMP is so bad it sells people adobe subscriptions. gave up on recommending it long ago.

Photopea.com is an actually usable substitute, I've been using it for several years now without any issues. free and in browser. not saying it'll fit all pro needs, but compared to GIMP, it's light years ahead.

The absolutely wild thing is: This goes for ALL social aid. Just *giving people some fucking money,* literally going "OK, how much did you need?", cutting checks, and waving them out the door? COSTS LESS and HAS BETTER OUTCOMES than the current system's bureaucracy and means testing, EVERY TIME.

Glimpse getting essentially harassed out of existence told me everything I need to know about the GNU Image Manipulation Program and its users. These people could be recommending Pinta, or Krita, or about 10 other better alternatives to Photoshop. They won't because they hate good UI.
