Particularly for the cash-strapped municipalities of the 1970s, the transportation policy that asked for the least intensive capital investment would win out. The 1970s “Bike Route” signage was a good example; no arrows or wayfinding or any alteration of traffic lanes. The absolute minimum.

While some researchers do regard the events of "Top Gun" as an artistic depiction of an actual historical event, general consensus among historians is that the film functioned as a sort of ritual totem, used during contemporaneous religious functions.

This happens pretty much every time a state or city offers e-bike rebates for the first time.

IT came and fixed my conflicting passwords problem. Not easy, but fixed. Did they have an explanation? Yes, if “it’s a mystery“ counts as an explanation. I take this as reassurance that no adult actually knows what they’re doing; we are all just making it up.

If you don’t watch cycling I want to share the joy of Eritrean Biniam Girmay, who is the first Black person to win a stage in the Tour de France and now won his second! In the first week! And he’s in green, which means he’s winning the most sprints (and beating Jasper Phillipsen, which is great.)
