Texas A&M did this back in the 1980s when I was a student there. I recall the administration getting very uncomfortable after a couple of enthusiastic South Africa divestment marches. What a role model for Columbia.

The president of Columbia is a member of the House of Lords (she’s a life peer, not a hereditary one, but still!) - between that and this action they should be legally required to go back to the King’s College name
