I agree somewhat but I’ve come to feel the way Rick does about all art. The physical act of owning something made it more special. To have to put in the CD, DVD, or game cart to play it. There IS still good music being made, but I worry it will be drowned out by AI.

We got tricked by science fiction into thinking a futuristic city is all about flying cars and crystal towers and hologram billboards but what it really looks like is nice apartment blocks, good mass transit, pedestrian zones with shade trees and safe bike lanes.

The biggest upside to the last decade especially is there are so many more shows being made by diverse creators. The biggest downside is how niche the shows all seem to be. I rarely have a conversation with anyone where “Have you seen X show?” results in a yes. Used to be a 1 in 4 chance they had.

(1) Ep3 of #TheAcolyte was titled "Destiny", but perhaps it should have been "The Thread". The 🇯🇵subtitles used the kanji for thread (糸), and many words in the 🇯🇵 dialogue featured kanji with 糸. The translations help provide insight into a better understanding of the Force.
