There are Facebook groups that will ban you for doing a “dirty delete” as they call it… and boy, I have never been able to think up with any good faith rationale for that rule. It just reeks of a thirst for vengeance. Which is always good /s

I have a 20k credit limit on one of my cards and it has been there since my annual income was under 30k. I make great effort never to carry a balance with them anymore. So they end up paying me 2% on basically all of my spending and make nothing from me other than swipe fees.

That’s me too. And while summers in Chicago can get bad (waiting 5 min for my bus just now made me stabby), the truly bad periods run a lot shorter, usually. And yeah, I’d happily take 10 more 20 degree days in exchange for 1 fewer 90 degree one. No hesitation.

What up Bluesky?! This is the second bus I’ve been on two days where the engine has fallen asleep at a slightly prolonged stop. Both times the driver has seemed to have to take an uncomfortable amount of effort to restart the engine. Glad to live in a functioning society!

I’m with you. I might ask an Apple store to replace my battery. I’ve thought about making one final jump to the 2nd Gen SE, but I like that my 6s has a headphone jack. Other than that, it looks like a very good phone. Maybe the only other Apple model I would consider.
