It's a shame to see so many people who claim to be pro-democracy rapidly get on board with forcing out a candidate who has now won two primaries and one general election. But that's clearly the direction we're headed.

One thing I think people forget is how relentlessly *stupid* every day of the Trump administration was. He doesn’t need to do a big elaborate complicated conspiracy, he can just (e.g.) email a list of every U.S. agent in the field to Putin and say it’s to own the libs, and *that* will have immunity.

The Right's goal has always been to seize power, not win elections. Once you've internalized that today's SCOTUS opinion makes perfect sense. Biden and Dem electeds need to meet this moment. I pray for all of our sake that they're up to it.

Knives are already out for Harris. Maybe people will finally remember that we got Biden in the first place because he was the candidate most Dems voters could tolerate. I get why reporters want the drama again. But for the life of me I don't get why anyone in the party thinks it would end well.

The reason pundits like the contested convention thing is that it plays to their vanities: what if the smart people made a meritocratic decision about who’s best? This is driven, in part, by being mostly isolated from negative reactions to their opinions over the years.

The anti-union Freedom Foundation just sent me a direct mail with a form to opt out of a union I'm not a member of at a place where I do not work. I appreciate that their data broker and/or direct mail firms are probably scamming them. Respect for grifters scamming other grifters.

It seems notable that Disney is the target of James O'Keefe's latest video. He's targeted corporations before, but targeted harassment and incitement aren't limited to politics when everything is a culture war. Most companies still have no clue how to handle attacks like this.
