If they are fighting Hamas, and Hamas is destroyed, why would there be a cease fire? Wouldnβt the war just be over since one side was destroyed?

Biden based his whole 2020 campaign on the "fact" that he was an expert negotiator, both willing & able to "reach across the aisle" & "achieve consensus". With Israel, he has proven himself an utter failure at both. And with the student protests, he has proven himself completely unwilling to do so.π
So Biden's accomplishment here was to get some positive press during the week and to get Israel to wait until the weekend before killing the peace deal. Strange how my news alerts are not going off for this.
