After 20 years on this earth, Skritch passed away in his sleep this afternoon. He was 5ish when he first wandered into Mom’s back yard. He went from wary stray to wary, beloved garage cat. In his last years, he’d sleep in a closet overnight, then bask in the sun
He was adored, and will be missed.

Bluesky - it’s not ok for you or your AI bots to insert a link under somebody’s post just because you can, or because you feel “there should be something.” Sometimes I don’t have a link to post. Get over it.
I literally had to delete & repost without the phrase that prompted your link. Sheesh.

It underscores your point of people’s basic goodness that they fight over what is THE BEST way to make the world a better place. Absolutely no one except for Republicans who only care about money & power is out there to promote ways to fuck things up. Again, except for Republicans.

It’s shocking to me that people I thought were serious are uttering this nonsense now. I understand they’re given those talking points but jeez, use your heads before you blindly use them. (Looking at you Josh Shapiro & others.)

Ageism is hiring a 25 year old instead of a better qualified 55 year old. It's not "ageism" to say that an 81 year old or a 78 year old might not be able to handle the world's most demanding job.

Who are you referring to as “liberals that wouldn’t listen?” David Axelrod was called a fucking prick by Biden because he suggested a primary. Biden spent 3 1/2 years tightly wrapped inside a bubble with info flowing in & out through a very tight sieve. And they can’t even be fired.

I was taken aback that one of their talking points is that Biden won the primary. What fucking primary? Only third party cooks were allowed to run against Biden. Even in Russia they don’t stop you from running. It’s just that you can’t win.😬 The gaslighting has to stop now.

Interesting exploration on what’s behind the refusal of some Republicans to keep funding Ukraine. And no, it’s not obstructionism.
Also, “primacists,” “prioritizers”, & “restrainers.”

Homeless people can be arrested for sleeping, Presidents cannot be arrested for rampant graft and corruption done while in office.
There is no clearer a summary of "conservative 'law and order'" than this.

The thing I can't stop thinking about is this: I'm 48, and in my adult lifetime there has been one Republican who won the popular vote. But I will probably spend the rest of my life under the authority of a Supreme Court dominated by hard right conservatives. How is that democracy?

Keeping Trump out of the White House isn’t the only thing that needs doing and it isn’t enough to solve all problems facing the country & world but if it isn’t done then all those problems get exponentially worse in ways I don’t even know how to express and it scares me when people pretend otherwise

I always liked Jill Biden but IDT she can be objective in this car of whether her husband should keep stumbling on. She lacks perspective, obvi. And he BTW doesn’t *always* listen to her advice. He picked is VP without her input. Her response was “Why her?”

Say what you want about David Frum but he’s right in his Atlantic article: Trump should never have had this platform. This was a ploy to legitimize a felon & traitor, an enemy of the people. (Ok, the latter is my own opinion, but still, good article.)

Obviously, I was being sarcastic. But it’s interesting that the possibility of a Democrat administration acting on the outrageous decision of a “Supreme Court” gone rogue is of no concern to Repubs. Bec it’s understood that the lawlessness the court just sanctified is for Republican consumption only

It’s weird to me how everybody is totally focused on Trump. This new power applies also to the current president. Did they really think this through?
I think Biden should use his new executive powers and show Trump what it means when he truly weaponizes his presidency against him.

OMG, singing his little heart out!💕 There’s something about warblers, idk, maybe because they’re always so round, and I think humans are programmed to respond to that kind of shape. Every single time I see one I go “awww.”
I have never seen one IRL I don’t think.
