looking back, i tried to do the best with the gender i was dealt because i legit didn’t know i had any other options.
i was such a depressed little kid & teenager though. i was extremely dysphoric & had no way to understand what was happening.
forcing any child to experience that pain is evil.

I kinda assumed they were mostly just localizations but I don't know. I don't think I've ever actually watched Power Ranges.

As awkward and unhinged as some of the storytelling choices became, overall it works amazingly well at expanding the scope of the story and creating an overall narrative that is truly epic.

Just thinking about the accidental genius of the Robotech trilogy and how, by combining three unrelated anime, they were able to create a powerful mediation on the horrors of unceasing war for 12 year olds like me to loose their shit over.

Affinity is great software. A lot of people don't like it because it's not a perfect fit for their workflow. Which may be the case. However, I'd bet that Adobe isn't a perfect fit for most people's workflow either. We are all just used to Adobe's shitty, bloated software.

To piggyback off of that, fascism preys on societies eroded. Cutting public services, austerity, general neoliberal approaches that lead to lower quality of life and less political engagement leaves power for fascists.
Best way to prevent fascism is a healthy social welfare, engaged society.

Everybody needs to see this quote, understand that this is what Project 2025 is about, and internalize the fact that this is what the Republican Party is doing.
This is not a conspiracy theory from the left. They are saying it out loud.

Library funding is almost always justified through patron numbers. The more people a library serves, the more funding it gets. So even if you don't regularly use a public library, get a library card. It costs you nothing and helps everyone in your community.

I don't remember when I learned about our first constitution but I for sure never heard about it in public school. Or if we did it was a sentence or two that got glossed over in the history book. I think it gets in the way of the idea that the "founding fathers" were infallible.

On this 4th of July, I thinking about The United States original constitution, The Articles of Confederation. Our first constitution was a conservatives wet dream. It prohibited federal taxes, relied almost entirely on states rights and completely failed within 8 years.
