I saw Dune 2 & it continues to be Not Actually Good. The Bene Gesserit play out like a red pill incel's strawman; a bunch of mercilessly status-climbing women baby-trap men of powerful means using magical scream roofies. Frank Herbert did women about as dirty as any other male author or the era.

The thing about Vivziepop is that her work isn't great but to people raised on a certain subset of media, she's incredibly satisfying. Her work is like if Seth MacFarlane mouth fucked Jhonen Vasquez & if that analogy resonates with you, you're probably a fan of Vivziepop.

The trap in Saw IV with the married couple is SO good. Possibly the best in the whole franchise. It exemplifies the Jigsaw gimmick perfectly in an era where the franchise had begun to lose sight of itself and was trying desperately to course correct.

It's a nice sentiment in theory but in practice, staying home isn't always achievable. If I don't attend my intensive therapy at least three days a week my insurance will stop covering it & I risk losing therapy access for the long term.
