DCC is really worth playing. In earnest it’s such a nice simplification of the 3e mechanics back to something like BX. I mostly enjoy the poverty adventuring of the 0-lvl funnel adventures. Try Sailors on the Starless Sea. That said game gets unwieldy when it comes to the # of random tables.
