Aahahahaha I'm going to Ali Wong tomorrow night - just checked her insta and she has already joined the ranks of NZ's greatest Asian stereotypes by travelling with an elderly Asian lady trying to smuggle prohibited food items into the country. How can we not embrace her.

I’m becoming more and more convinced that accumulation of cars, roads, road building and endless investment in road repairs are going to destroy the NZ economy over the next decade unless radical structural changes take place.

I'll pay about $1k/year less tax from the new NZ budget. That's a small amount of my tax bill and SUCH a wrong direction for NZ.

Pay the teachers, fund universities, make sure there are doctors and nurses in hospitals when I need them, look after the people who can't work!

Fuck's sake. #nzpol

Around 1870, these lovely glass bottles started being sold for a very specific purpose. These are GLASS FIRE EXTINGUISHER GRENADES. The first generation were filled with saltwater, or ammonium chloride which, when it decomposes, produces gases that inhibit fire. (📷: Antique Bottle Depot)

They definitely had coverage early on and it is tough to have everything on the front page at the same time but when the stories are so inextricably linked… it’s a deliberate decision to leave them out of it. All good though. My post could have been clearer.

Have a look at the tweet. I didn’t say no coverage at all, I was talking about a specific point in time. They de-linked the protest from the budget. Would you not interview protestors about what was announced given that’s what they were protesting about?

No mention of the protests on the front of either Herald or Stuff at the moment. Almost as if they don't want anyone to know they're on.
