par for the course a government predicated on self-aggrandisment for its Ministers would be remiss if it avoided gaslighting those who keep its infrastructure functioning

Callous disregard for people, communities, facts and evidence seems to be a feature not a bug of the crew in Government:

“RNZ has learned Doocey, one of the ministers with responsibility for assessing the Royal Commission's recommendations, was then sent the report personally in November.”

They could but they won't. I was isolated in the zero neg room in 2022, the staff were amazing. Short staffed, yet worked better as a team so coordinated and focused. My hat is off to them. They deserve the respect of not being forced to work when sick as it hits their immunity the more they get it

Living wage employers stand by stance as business sentiment wanes: Businesses say paying a living wage is possible, even in current tough economic conditions. It comes as one of the founders of the living wage movement publishes a book in a bid to keep the momentum going. #nzpol

"We heard this from welfarist governments in the 1930s. We hear it today from the current strong-man Government. Hostility to Māori political autonomy, grounded in Pākehā insecurity, has been with us for a long time."

Could a Māori Parliament arise again?

Makes my skin crawl that these people have to spend the twilight of their lives being denied justice by people who weren’t even alive when they were brutalized and that what were supposed to be the best years of their lives was stained by an overt rejection of justice.

Pre-election, she said the WEAG Report supported her clearly ignorant, venal opinions concerning what she planned to do. It certainly did not.

Now those plans are in action, in a coalition with partners who'd go *even further* if they could.

Far more better WAKE TF UP before election 2026.
