Keeping Trump out of the White House isn’t the only thing that needs doing and it isn’t enough to solve all problems facing the country & world but if it isn’t done then all those problems get exponentially worse in ways I don’t even know how to express and it scares me when people pretend otherwise

We got tricked by science fiction into thinking a futuristic city is all about flying cars and crystal towers and hologram billboards but what it really looks like is nice apartment blocks, good mass transit, pedestrian zones with shade trees and safe bike lanes.

I signed up for a voice acting gig website, and they only let you list yourself under performing "Male" or "Female" roles... ...and I don't think these people understand the industry they're "disrupting".

Happy Swedish National Day! One of my favourite Swedish words is maskrosbarn, which means “dandelion child.” Dandelions can survive in almost any conditions, even growing through tarmac, so a dandelion child is one that still turns out well, despite having a difficult childhood.

I have made another GitHub issue on a Mozilla repo used for development of the Firefox AI image description tool. My exploration of their research shows that the images they are using to test are all, from what I see, just photographs of random people, places, and things.

My attempts to criticize Mozilla's plans for built in AI alt text gen in Firefox are not because of my general hatred of AI or my lack of knowledge on this subject. They are because I understand this to a breadth and depth extremely rare and I want to be heard on subtle issues that are being ignored

I built possibly the earliest easy to use social media tool for getting AI image descriptions in Aug 2022, using an early paid API offered by Microsoft. I have been paying close attention to the subject since, especially listening to Visually Impaired folks' experiences. I am a niche expert in this.

I wrote a heist novel about a Black woman who, after falling behind on her student loan payments, gets harassed so bad by debt police that she joins up with two friends to try and take out her student loan company. Summer 2025!

A very unfair witch hunt, of me, while the real criminals all get into your houses. A nice woman, theres a sound at her window, a crescendo, like youve never heard. She runs to the bedroom, & shes struck down like a dog. Everyone comes in saying Annie? are you okay Annie? But shes not okay sadly
