This is wild, we just did the loop of Mount Hood yesterday and couldn’t see the top with those same clouds. Thanks for completing the picture for us!

Turned up. We are increasing the function of a specific device, in order to lower the temperature. Might be different with central air but with our window unit, we are asking for more from that specific appliance.

How much did the anti-NHTSA pedestrian regulation lobbyists pay you to campaign for a truck that can’t be sold abroad because it’ll decapitate anybody that comes in contact with the hood?

Excellent @ndhapple.bsky.social breakdown that confirms my belief that Hochul confused "congestion pricing is unpopular now" with "congestion pricing will be an election issue." She pulled this all out of her ass and has no way to control the damage she's caused. www.curbed.com/article/cong...

Hey remember how New York had this great idea for a bike sharing program but people got worried about losing parking for bike stalls so it got pulled at the last minute? It never would have taken off anyway, nobody wants to bike in New York

In cities like London and Stockholm, support for congestion pricing has jumped once residents see how much cleaner & better their city becomes.
What's needed is political courage to implement the policy-- something Hochul apparently lacks.

It’s a play for the outer-borough/Long Island voters that set sail for the GOP years ago and aren’t coming back. Maybe one guy in Queens will flip his vote because of this now

Highway Patrol can keep them because 99% of the time they're used to push disabled vehicles off of the highway, but there's no use for those on city cars that don't do traffic work. SD Sheriff's cars don't have them except on rural patrol, and they only do because theirs have winches.

Yes, it’s arguably the first North American release from Geely-era Volvo, fully engineered and built on a shared platform in China and probably limited to some design input from Sweden.

Really going to suck for anybody with a new Volvo EX30 on order. Haven’t seen people get this excited for an affordable city-car sized crossover in a while, and now it’s probably all but dead in our market.

The answer might be to go to the European model – skip the pickup and get a Transit van cab body and put a utility bed on the back. Much better visibility, much better access, but tragically far less macho factor.

Good city planning means being cognizant that an individual’s upbringing, ability level, or cultural background may influence their understanding of what a city “should” be. For instance, you may find that your definition of “walkable urbanism” differs greatly than, say, Godzilla’s.

Cars have a monopoly on mobility that traps us into thinking we can only replace them with modes that replicate everything they do. If you're going to wait for something that makes all mobility as easy as a car without their many downsides, you'll wait forever. Cars can't be replaced, only unbundled
