I would like to suggest a classic tv reboot. Knight Rider starring Paulina Alexis as Michael Knight's Indigenous daughter. M'kayala Knight is driving K.I.T., now a aging Rez Car, around, solving mysteries and cracking wise. Fixing that car with cedar smoke and duct tape.

Nearly every episode ends with Sherlock admitting he screwed up, apologizing, and doing better. And that character growth carries over from season to season. It's remarkable. Plus Lucy Liu's outfits in the later seasons, oh my GOD And Ms. Hudson!!! Needed a LOT more of her, honestly.

Yaaaay! Did you roll randomly, choose, or leave it as a cliffhanger? The way Adventurers League handled it back in the day, if your PC got Plane Shifted, was "spend 50 days of downtime as you wander the planes looking for a way back". I would add a fun plot hook, too ("it followed me home", etc).
