You know, if Boeing just denied that a piece of the plane fell off the media would be obliged, in the name of balance, to cover the story as a debate over perceptions rather than one of airline safety
I don’t understand the media reports about this. They’re all like “a small window came loose.” I’ve seen the TikTok videos - the whole bottom fell off the plane and the emergency exits popped out. Why tf is the media downplaying the severity of the situation??
If it was a cop plane we’d hear that “the plane was involved in a pressure differential incident leading to a larger cabin atmospheric interface than normal”
“University of Wisconsin professor of avionics engineering and former pilot Melinda Kettler expressed concern that the industry was becoming complacent about safety and reliability. Some commercial passengers disagree. “I think it’s fine,” said Howard Boeing-Welch. “It might get windy, that’s all.””
How do you spend this much time and money to build something and this happens?
I know it’s a complicated marvel of engineering at the end and requires a lot of efforts but still. Isn’t the safety and reliability is the first thing that needs addressing?
If those are not improved what’s their goal?
