My brother has this joke in his comedy routines that I have encyclopedic knowledge of everyone who has ever been cancelled (which is not true and I wish I did when it comes to, like, ex-Trump employees), but this post is probably evidence for his case.

But I feel mostly numb because while there was a time when I thought Neil Gaiman was the coolest, handsomest, talentest, charmingest writer in the world ... I've since lived through at least five attempts to cancel this man and so most of my reaction is, "Huh ... seems like this one is taking."

I like the camaraderie and picking stuff out, but it’s one of those parts where the start/plotting is better than the completion. I also like looking at disparate things as a unit, too, that’s really fun.

I did think the Tim Burton remake improved this by at least making her overly competitive but it did bother me that she got the worst saw trap when Veruca was the kid who behaved the worst and got the lightest punishment.

The founders of Israel were actually thisclose to calling it “Judea,” like the day they declared independence they were still debating it, but because the Arab factions still had control of the Judean hills they called it Israel (or that’s what I read in Sam Aronow’s book, anyway).
