The Bellamy Salute was the official way to salute the US flag under Flag Code, 1892-1942 ... although I forget why we changed it in 1942?
Photo is from 1915.

before the internet moms worked collectively at a church guild (a group of women) Each month a meeting with incidental gossip of the school, bad kids and teachers odds and ends.
My teen son remarked post a guild night. I hate guild nights. Seems we kids always get chewed out.

One vote doesn't mean much, which is why you should never vote alone. With minimal effort, you can double, triple, even multiply your vote by 10 by getting other people to the polls.
Voting isn't a private act.
It's an act of solidarity and it is intrinsically social.

we went to Lake Louise on our honeymoon in 1981; I've wondered about the condition of the glaciers that fed into the lake. You could touch them from the boats for rent there.

March 23 1933, the Enabling Act becomes law in Germany, giving the chief executive power enforce his own laws without checks and balances. The passing of the Act marked the formal transition from democratic republic to totalitarian dictatorship. 6 months later, it was a 1 party state.

The American experiment was founded on rule of law.
Presidents that commit crimes are not above the law.
This Supreme Court has put Presidents above the law.
That's because the Court is corrupt: the judges are selected and purchased by billionaires.
Unpack the courts.

Homeless people can be arrested for sleeping, Presidents cannot be arrested for rampant graft and corruption done while in office.
There is no clearer a summary of "conservative 'law and order'" than this.

Sotomayor;
Never in the history of our Republic has a President had
reason to believe that he would be immune from criminal
prosecution if he used the trappings of his office to violate
the criminal law....With fear for our democracy, I dissent.

It's such a wild coincidence that the court legalized bribing public officials a few days ago and today says that every activity the US government regulates now goes through them

If you don't understand the killing Chevron is simply a step in their war on the admin state, rather than an end, you are not paying attention.

After Gorsuch read extensively from his opinion, Sotomayor is reading from her dissent.
"Sleep is a biological necessity," she begins, "not a crime."
