If you're unmoved, unconvinced, unmotivated, you have to imagine thousands like you feeling the same.
And if you dial it in, do the work, that's what the thousands like you are doing, too.

This is what I don't get about the SCOTUS or any other allegedly intelligent Republican who keeps carrying water for Trump: HE WILL BETRAY YOU. THAT IS WHOLE DEAL. THIS WILL NEVER END WELL FOR YOU.

Well, I just mean that celery is a huge part of a lot of recipes as part of the celery/onion/carrot trio that forms the basis for a lot of broths and such.

I think Democrats' obsession with being fair and appropriate could get us all killed right now. We need a little bit more of the GOP's "if we lose, no we didn't" attitude.
I think we need to remember: we're winning this thing, whether they want us to or not.

Either way, the questions: "Can the Democrats legally put someone else on their ballot?" or "Did Biden steal this election?" will eventually go before... the Supreme Court.

I just worry that we're getting tricked into making errors. Either we try and replace Biden as a candidate, which the GOP would sue about to get his replacement taken off ballots in swing states, or we win with Biden and they say their lead-up polls prove this must be impossible.

Like, Biden's breaking fundraising records right now, we can prove that because it's a hard number. And yes, some of that's coming from big-ticket donors. But some of it isn't!

So you don't poll very well or very frequently, and just spam the airwaves with the idea that Biden is dropping precipitously in spite of everything going on in the headlines. It's manufacturing consent for their eventual fascist uprising.

For the Trump campaign, what's far more helpful for them is to just not run many polls, so that in the absence of polls they can talk loudly about the strength of their internals.
So that later, if they lose, they can say it was rigged/stolen, because where did all these "extra" votes come from?

Pre-election polls never seem to capture the sustained anger over the repeal of Roe v Wade. It's just never become baked into any models. Sure, some women in certain regions may be reluctant to voice that support out loud, but everything since Dobbs suggests this shouldn't be a horse race.

I feel like the total collapse of effective polling over the last couple of elections has really helped carry water for GOP narratives.
Like, there's honestly no way the race is as close right now as polls suggest. Post-Dobbs, hard Trump districts have swung +20 to Democrats. And yet!

i was just going to make a post about this. if trump decides you are an enemy of the state or a “threat to national security” and has you deported, citizenship or not, there’s nothing you can do to get home. he has full legal power to render you stateless.

What you have to remember, apart from Biden, even apart from Trump, is that the Republican party does not intend to ever relinquish power again, and for all intents and purposes their hands are no longer tied in terms of what they can do to hang onto it
Those are the stakes, act accordingly

In some ways, making George Lucas' dialogue sound cool and natural is just as much a challenge as making Shakespeare accessible to modern audiences, which is probably why Sir Alec Guinness knocked it out of the park.
