Something that also doesn’t come up here is how much Trump’s “Black Jobs” comment really set him back. I’ve seen a lot of local figures forcibly respond. It’s reminiscent of when McCain called Obama “That One”. The street venders here in Baltimore sold shirts mocking that for years.
One of my favorite days on Twitter was when the Rachel Dolezal stuff broke and I got to really experience the depths of black Twitter. The “What was Tommy’s job?” bit of trivia I learned made my life far richer.
Also it’s literally Wednesday right now and I’m not sure how fast this person expects to find out about things but “the same day they happen” doesn’t seem unreasonable.
Reminds me that the main reason that I haven't left Twitter is that there are so few Spanish speakers here, and most of the ones who do appear are Spaniards. The 6 hour time difference just makes it nigh impossible to see their posts unless I actively look for them.
