I got to go to a workshop he gave at the humane society I volunteer for, I think in 2019. He was great! He spent a few hours at the shelter with staff talking enrichment for shelter kitties in addition to giving his time to volunteers. As far as I heard, he did it for free!

Can we not use how people look to measure if they’re good? Please? I don’t care if they aged “poorly” because whether someone is aging faster than others truly doesn’t tell us anything about their morality. We know Miller is a piece of shit and we can say that because of his ACTIONS not looks.

Going off what online articles say things should cost can be unhelpful because they are often outdated! Friend got his puppy spayed for $900 last month, best price he could find. Places that do it cheaper have long wait lists/are income based. (Also OP seems fine with cost so no advice needed?)

I get this exact same Avis email! For everyone replying to mark as spam/junk in Gmail/Apple mail or block the sender, it doesn’t do enough. Blocked senders go to spam in Gmail (why not ACTUALLY BLOCK?!), which I still glance through to rescue legit emails, so more spam still = more work.

I really appreciate this follow up, had put it on my reading list and just removed it. Not to say that everyone should do that!! I am a fat person fighting internalized weight stigma and give myself a pass to avoid media that makes that harder. I know it means I miss out on a lot of great media!

I was sure this dog running at my huge dog that was clearly not wanting to be approached was going to end in bloodshed. I honestly stopped walking my dog after that, I was badly shaken up. It was impossible to avoid unleashed dogs no matter how careful I was about when and where. 😔

To scare off a dog as it approached, a husky who was running towards my dog as she as absolutely losing her mind, and caused the other dog to stop in its tracks, turn and run and not return. It felt like a miracle that I was able to pop it open without letting go of the leash in the other hand!

An umbrella works well in my experience, if you pop it open it really startles dogs and they think twice. I had an extremely dog reactive Great Dane and I lived in abject terror of loose dogs while walking her, the umbrella tip was one I got from our trainer.
